Movement is the answer is a series of seven works in pencil and pastel that began with a simple observation: everything is moving, even when we can’t see it. We notice ants, we hear leaves in the wind, but we fail to see mountains moving.
Each piece searches for that hidden movement in a different form. In lines that go still the moment they touch paper. In colour rising from the earth like sunlight. In roots tangled into each other, in borders we cross or that hold us back.
Not every line has meaning. Sometimes movement is simply the answer, not because it explains anything, but because it just is, everywhere, always.
